Teresa D. Valerio is
an Advanced Practice Nurse specializing as a Certified Nurse
Practitioner and practicing at the Illinois Neurological Institute
Sleep Center in Peoria, Illinois.
In 1978, Ms. Valerio
earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Bradley
University in Peoria, Illinois. She later received her Master of
Science in Administration-Health Care degree in 1985 from Central
Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. In 2003, she earned
her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from
Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. She is Board
Certified as a Family Nurse
Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Ms. Valerio’s
professional interests include diagnosing and managing sleep
disorders in clients of all ages. She is an active member of a
number of professional organizations, including the American Academy
of Nurse Practitioners, the American College of Nurse Practitioners,
the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nurses, and the American
Academy of Sleep Medicine. Ms. Valerio is the author of various
publications, posters, and presentations.
