Day Treatment -
An intensive rehabilitation program provided to patients who
participate in therapy two to five days per week for several hours each day.
Services are
tailored to
meet individual physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs and routine interdisciplinary
team meetings are conducted
The day treatment program is particularly helpful for patients who have experienced
a neurological injury or illness including: spinal cord injury, stroke or head
injury and need therapy to develop skills to return to home, job or school.
Lymphedema -
The outpatient lymphedema program provides services with specially
certified therapists. Treatments are designed to reduce
swelling and other symptoms
caused
by damage or malformation of the lymphatic structures, through a combination
of special therapies and exercise.
Aquatic Therapy -
This specialized therapy uses a warm water pool to allow patients
the chance to move in ways they might not be able to do on land. As patients
progress, the
resistance of water can be used to increase strength.
Industrial Rehabilitation -
The Center for Industrial Rehabilitation provides treatment
that assists injured workers to return to the work force. In
addition
to industrial
rehabilitation,
the center offers consultative services that focus on the prevention of injury
in the workplace.
Incontinence Therapy -
Treatment provided to improve incontinence centers on
a
behavioral approach. No medications or surgeries are used, instead, therapists
assist the patient
in "retraining" muscles and the bladder to cure or lesson episodes
of incontinence.
