What is Vertigo?
Vertigo is defined as a spinning sensation. Vertigo is often
referred to as dizziness or unsteadiness, though not all dizziness
represents vertigo. The definition of dizziness varies from patient
to patient. Vertigo might be caused by vestibular (ear) problems,
stroke, head trauma, virus or other illnesses. It can come upon
a patient suddenly or be with them for years. Patients complain
of vertigo and imbalance, gait disorders, and frequent falls.
