James L. McGee, MD - Co-Director
Dr. McGee is a board certified radiation oncologist
who has been director of Oncology Services for OSF Healthcare
System for twelve years. Dr. McGee is also the medical
director of Radiation Oncology at OSF Saint Francis Medical
Center. A practitioner of radiosurgery for nine years,
Dr. McGee is co-director of the Gamma Knife facility. He
is currently the chair of the Illinois State Board of Health. After
completing his residency at Northwestern University Medical
Center and a National Institute of Health training
program in oncology at the University of Chicago, he won
a Yamigwa-Yoshida technology transfer grant for studies
at the University of Paris in Curietherapy.
W. Gregg Devanna, MS
Mr. Devanna has been practicing medical physics for OSF Healthcare
System for the past six years. He helped establish the
radiation oncology program at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center
in Rockford, Ill. He has also been actively involved
in three-dimensional radiotherapy, brachytherapy and linear
accelerator radiosurgery programs at OSF Saint Francis Medical
Center. Mr. Devanna is board certified from
the American Board of Radiology. He received his master
of science in medical physics from the University of Cincinnati
and his bachelor of science in physics from Purdue
University.
Patrick W. Elwood, MD
Dr. Elwood is a professor and head of the Department of
Neurosurgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine
at Peoria
and has been a part of the radiosurgery team since 1992. He
is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Dr.
Elwood takes particular interest in tumors and arteriovenous
malformations of the brain. He trained in medicine and
neurosurgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Kenneth W. Fraser, MD
Dr Fraser is a clinical professor of radiology, neurology
and neurosuergery at the University of Illinois College of
Medicine
at Peoria and is the director of Interventional Neuroradiology
at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. He is
a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology with
a certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology. He
completed a fellowship in diagnostic neuroradiology and interventional
neuroradiology at the University of California, San Francisco,
and was a member of the Gamma Knife team at the University
of Miami.
Francois J. Geoffroy, MD
Dr. Geoffroy is a board certified medical oncologist
who joined Oncology Hematology Associates in 1994 as well as
the medical
staff of OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. Upon
receiving his medical degree from Tuft's University School
of Medicine and completing his internship and residency at
St. Vincent Hospital, he completed his fellowship at the National
Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Md.
Brian R. Griffin, MD
Dr. Griffin is a board certified radiation oncologist with
extensive experience in stereotactic radiosurgery. He obtained
his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of
Nebraska Medical Center at Omaha. He completed
residency training in radiation oncology at the University of
Washington Medical Center at Seattle. Dr. Griffin served
on the faculty of the University of Washington as joint
associate professor of Radiation Oncology and Neurological
Surgery. He specializes in neurooncology and radiosurgery.
Julian J. Lin, MD
Dr. Lin is a board certified neurosurgeon He is an Assistant
Professor of Neurosurgery and Pediatrics as well as section head
of the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the University of
Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He obtained his doctor
of medicine degree with honors from the University of Texas
Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his neurosurgery
residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at
Peoria and a pediatric neurological surgery fellowship at the
University of Tennessee in Memphis. He specializes in pediatric
brain tumors, hydrocephalus, myelodysplasia and craniofacial
abnormalities.
